Let me let you into a big sea-cret…the ocean is filled with floating moustaches.
Take a careful look into the ocean and you will see all kinds of fish. There are big fish and little fish, round fish and long fish, fast fish and slow fish, colourful fish and plain fish. You can even find fish with a light on their head and those with a great big sword for a nose. But what about fish with a moustache? Yep, look hard enough and you’ll find some of those too…
So, it’s o-fish-ial…Heidi Walkinshaw (author) and Michel Streich (illustrator) can confirm that fish DO have moustaches. In a bubbly and rather delightful non-fiction underwater adventure, littlies will be laughing their heads off as they come face-to-face with some rather silly and often surprising looking ocean dwellers.
Told in bouncy rhyming prose, this deep dive into the ocean is fin-tastic fun. Full of aquatic life, plenty of fishy facts - I never knew fish are eyelash-less, and lots of moustaches, readers are in for a whale of a time as they swim and splash their way through the colourful pages of this fish-fest.
A joyous celebration of all kinds of fish but especially those with moustaches. Fan-tasche-tic stuff! Recommended for 3+. With huge thanks to Affirm Press for the copy I received in exchange for an honest review.
