Penguin and his pals are cold. Like freezing, shivering feathers, ice on the end of whiskers cold. Everyone is excited when Penguin receives a surprise parcel from Gorilla. But what could be inside? Set in the ice and snow - best to wrap up warm when reading - and bursting with playful characters, this tale of anticipation, guessing and the joys of getting an unexpected present is BRRRRR-ILLIANT fun.

​From the joyful expression plastered on penguin’s face on the front cover, you just know that this is going to be a a very enjoyable little package. I had as much fun reading it as Penguin and friends do with their very surprising gift. Littlies will love joining in with speculating as to what Penguin’s parcel might be, big snowy bonus points to anyone who guesses correctly, I certainly did not.

This delightful read-aloud with exciting Illustrations and featuring gorgeous end papers is delightful. Penguin says, ‘It is the perfect gift for preschoolers.’
