The loveable Noodle the doodle and the children of Wigley Primary School are back for a third outing and this time there’s a new puppy in town.
Summer is in the air and the children of Wigley Primary School are excited for their upcoming Sports Day. With plenty of alternative races like Book Balancing, Speed Dressing and Frisbee Throwing it could be the funnest one yet. Of course, the school’s dog Noodle the doodle is keen to join in the fun and games too. And he’s not the only one. There’s a new young pup in town - Daniel the spaniel. The pup is still in training and when the canine capers get out of hand it is up to Noodle to try and win the day. On your barks…get set…GO!
Written by Jonathan Meres and illustrated by Katy Halford, this is another paw-some instalment in the Noodle the Doodle series. Canine antics, plenty of school-based fun and a cracking class of children provide a delightful and charming read that will go down a storm with dog lovers.
Relatable school-based stories are always popular and readers will be giggling along as the ever-enthusiastic Noodle and his new partner-in-crime Daniel threaten to ruin Sports Day with their own brand of fun. Important themes of friendship, overcoming fears and teamwork are all touched upon too. It is without doubt another tail-wagging success. As with all Barrington Stoke titles the book is published using dyslexic friendly font and colours so everyone can access this read. With huge thanks to the publisher for the copy I received in exchange for an honest review. Recommended for 8+.
