It’s far from smooth sailing for Flash, Lady, Fergie and Maxie as the four ‘wheelie’ good friends find themselves in all sorts of bother in their second adventure together.
Flash, Lady, Fergie and Maxie have been polished and painted and are full of excitement as they set sail to begin their new lives as film stars. When a storm strikes and the friends are washed overboard they find themselves landing on a beautiful deserted island. Only the island is not empty, an old and bossy tank is convinced that a war is going on and will defend his territory at all costs. The four friends need to escape Captain Tank and get back to Mrs. Brown. But how…
Bags of fun, mayhem and close scrapes are in store in this fast-moving and delightful early chapter book that will be a hit with children who love vehicles and adventures. Rather than finding film stardom, the friends find danger and peril and a tank that is all to keen to take them as his prisoners. Cunning plans and teamwork are needed and thankfully the four friends are more than up to the challenge, as long as they have each other, and access to a few fireworks, everything will be ok.
The exciting storyline and fabulous illustrations will keep young children hooked and with seven short chapters it is the perfect book to read over the course of a week. With huge thanks to Christmas Press for the copy I received in exchange for an honest review. Recommended for 5+.
