The Polar Express is a Christmas story that has stood the test of time and never feels outdated or irrelevant. It deserves to be read and enjoyed by every person both young and old.
Whilst everyone is sound asleep on a Christmas Eve night a boy looks out of his window to find a train in the middle of the street. But this is no ordinary train, this is the Polar Express and it is filled with excited children who are on a magical journey towards the North Pole. Upon arriving at the North Pole the children are greeted by elves, Santa’s sleigh and then finally Father Christmas himself appears.
The boy is bestowed with the honour of choosing the first gift of Christmas. But he doesn’t choose a toy or anything else that was hidden in the sacks of presents aboard the sleigh. He wanted something far more precious, something that only true believers in Father Christmas would understand…
This is a wonderful Christmas adventure and one of my favourite picture books. With stunning illustrations and a story to make you feel all warm and cosy inside this really is a must read at Christmas time.
Hop on board the Polar Express for a once in a lifetime journey full of excitement, wonder and the magic of Christmas. And remember…never stop believing…
