Cornelia Funke is a brilliant writer of children’s books and Monster Busters is a wild and thrilling adventure filled with monsters and mayhem. It has just the right amount of frights and is a nice introduction to the ‘horror’ genre. There are plenty of illustrations and there are delightful extras in the form of monster themed jokes (inside the front cover) and a ghost-train themed maze (inside the back cover).
