This book is so cool. I love fascinating facts and eye-opening statistics and Every Second is full of them.
Our planet is a very busy place and there's always something going on. By the time that you have read this (let’s assume it has taken you four seconds) four hundred kilograms of cocoa will have been made into chocolate and the same number of lightning bolts will have struck earth, and that's just the start of it. Dive into a world of incredible statistics and fascinating facts and find out what exactly happens every single second…
Featuring statistics from the worlds of transport, technology, life and death, the animal kingdom, natural phenomena, plants, manufacturing, the environment, food, finance and shopping, there really is something for everyone to enjoy and I enjoyed absolute all of it. Who doesn’t want to know how many chicks hatch from their eggs every second, how many smartphones are bought or how many scoops of ice cream are eaten?
The hard thing for children to comprehend will be the size of some of the numbers which is why I believe that this book is best suited for children of seven and upwards. I mean, how do you try and show the three million litres of gas that are burped and farted by cows every second!
Statistics are presented as a simple statement of fact with the number in large font so it clearly stands out on the page. The accompanying illustrations are big, bold, vivd and bright.
Prepare to have your mind blown and wow friends and family with the incredible events that occur on planet Earth…every…single…second.
