Everyone scarpers when Dread Cat is around. You see, Dread Cat was born to catch mice, unfortunately he is terrible at this particular job. So Dread Cat turns over a new paw and vows to stop trying to catch mice - declaring his war on the mouse world is over. Instead, he will provide an evening meal service of cheese to each and every mouse. But can Dread Cat be believed and is the mouse line getting shorter…

Dread Cat is a cautionary tale about lots of mice and one very conniving cat who is definitely no to be trusted. It is a rollickingly good cat-and-mouse chase that is face-paced and filled with tension. The chapters are short, there are plenty of colourful illustrations and there are delightful extras in the form of cat themed jokes (inside the front cover) and a maze (inside the back cover).
